The 127th Fighter Wing also has faster jets. Let’s face it, not everyone like to reign hellfire down at slower speeds.
When the 127th FW needs CAP, SEAD, Deep Strike, or CAS with a faster attitude they call for the F-16C Viper in the form of the 93d Fighter Squadron. The Mako’s will get the job done! The 127th Fighter Wing employs numerous weapons to the virtual battlefield. One of these weapons allows for Close Air Support (CAS), Forward Air Control Airborne (FAC-A), extreme loitering time, and extensive munitions.
The A-10CII Warthog is the 75th Fighter Squadrons weapon of choice, and the results are absolutely destructive. If you want something done, and don’t care/want to know how it gets done, give it to them...75th FS will get it done. Influenced by the fantastical Star Wars Clone Wars Fighter Wing, the 127th Fighter Wing is the overseeing body of the simulated USAF Squadrons within JTF501.
Whether it's an A-10C, F-16C, or eventually the F-4 and F-15E, this Fighter Wing is your bread and butter. 127th Fighter Wing is accepting applicants for all airframes. It's been a busy few weeks as the Squadron's have been accomplishing mission after mission. Here's a glimpse of Operation Guardian, a mission built around Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) which incorporated multiple aircraft platforms and mission roles. The A-10's, F-16's, F/A-18's, MI-24's, and UH-1's all working together providing SEAD, DEAD, ESCORT, STRIKE, CAP, and CSAR made for a very complex but satisfying mission. All while dealing with low ceilings and rain to boot.Operation Mirror Mirror Part 2 went extremely well. All flights thoroughly enjoyed their tasking...more pictures to come to show the result of our might...in the meantime here are some screens from our team in action:
