Joint Task Force 501 is a virtual flight group for Digital Combat Simulator (DCS). While doing our best to maintain a relaxed and fun environment, our group tries to provide comprehensive paramilitary type missions that require coordination, skill, and knowledge. The focus of our group is to conduct training and missions that are fun yet challenge us to work as a team and continuously improve our skills. We conduct missions every Thursday at 8:30pm ET and have training sessions on the Tuesday prior (8:30pm ET) to prepare for the upcoming mission. One on One training is typically coordinated when members need additional work on specific areas or skills. Casual flying is done throughout the week. JTF501’s primary focus is to fly PvE missions while utilizing PvP training. This maximizes focus to work together effectively and efficiently while also retaining as much “fun factor” as possible. Currently the 181st Fighter Wing only operates DCS’ take on the Lockheed F-16C Fighting Falcon. Further plans to expand to other US Air Force, US Army, and US Marine Corps platforms will be considered based on interest. US Navy platforms are covered in our affiliate; Carrier Strike Group 3 who operate F/A-18C (US NAVY), F-14B, and AV-8B’s. Both the 181st Fighter Wing and CSG-3 coordinate not only to fly together, but also to supplement additional needs during campaigns, deployments, and training.
JOINT TASK FORCE 501 is not affiliated with the U.S. Military nor does it express their stances or views therein.
